The Empuriabrava Carmen Festival 2026 returns from 15 to 19 July with a complete programme of activities for all ages. Programme of the Carmen Festival in Empuriabrava 2026
The official programme features free activities taking place along the beach, the seafront promenade, the canals and Plaça de les Palmeres. Highlights include family shows, live concerts, cultural performances and the traditional celebration in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Wednesday, 15 July
The festival begins with a visual theatre and clown performance for all audiences at Plaça de les Palmeres.
In the evening, one of the festival's biggest attractions takes place: the 1st Drone Show Festival Empuriabrava, an impressive drone display over the beach that will light up the sky with figures inspired by the sea and the history of Empuriabrava.
The day will end with live music and a mobile disco on the seafront promenade.
Thursday, 16 July
The main day of the festival is dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the patron saint of sailors.
One of the most eagerly awaited events is the traditional Procession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel through the canals of Empuriabrava, where numerous boats accompany the statue along a unique route that reflects the town's strong maritime heritage.
The day continues with traditional sardana dancing, the blessing of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at the chapel, another spectacular edition of the 1st Drone Show Festival Empuriabrava, followed by a concert by Yo Suspendí EGB, performing the greatest hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
Friday, 17 July
The programme continues with a lively Misto Swing concert, accompanied by a swing performance and an open dance class for everyone.
In the evening, the show Simply The Best will bring an outstanding Tina Turner tribute to the seafront, featuring many of the legendary singer's greatest pop and rock classics.
Saturday, 18 July
Saturday is especially designed for families.
In the morning, the popular Foam Festival will take place, a refreshing activity that attracts hundreds of children and adults every summer.
In the afternoon, visitors can enjoy a performance by the Esbart Dansaire de Castelló d'Empúries, showcasing traditional Catalan dances.
The day will end with a major music party organised by Flaix FM On Tour, featuring several DJs who will keep the summer night alive.
Sunday, 19 July
The festival will conclude with a charity botifarra barbecue in support of the Oncolliga Girona Foundation.
Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a traditional havanera concert by the group Americanus, followed by the traditional dance with the Saturno Orchestra.
To close the festival, Empuriabrava beach will host the eagerly awaited grand pyromusical fireworks display, one of the most spectacular and memorable moments of the entire programme.
